You go about playing with your friends by joining the same server. Make sure you choose to play on a PvE server if you want to work alongside your friends. You can do this after you’ve created your server, and choose what server you want to join together. You can see what phase the Once Server is in, the population of the server, and your character’s level in the server selection menu.
You should communicate with your friends as early as possible about which server you plan to use at the start of the game. Unfortunately, if you choose the incorrect server and your friends want to go to another one, or the population is too high to support everyone, you must make a new character. This means you need to remove the character you’re playing as, start over with a new one, and begin the process over again.
