WoW expansions always add plenty of challenging endgame PvE content, and Mythic+ dungeons are the content of choice for five-man groups. As usual, The War Within season one features eight Mythic+ dungeons in the rotation, with new and old dungeons in the mix.
WoW The War Within season one Mythic+ dungeon rotation
According to dataminers in a post shared by Wowhead on April 17, the first season of The War Within features four new Mythic+ dungeons and four old ones. We can’t say yet how difficult the new dungeons will be, but the four old dungeons in the season one rotation are no joke.
WoW’s new expansion is still in development, so this information is subject to change. Keep reading to find out the full Mythic+ rotation currently planned for The War Within season one, launching on Aug. 26.
Ara-Kara, City of Echoes
There isn’t much available about Ara-Kara, City of Echoes yet, but you can find the entrance in the Azj-Kahet zone within Khaz Algar. By the sounds of it, it’ll be a Nerubian-themed dungeon similar to Ahn-Kahet in Wrath of the Lich King. There are four bosses: Avanoxx, Anub’Zekt, and Ki’katal the Harvester.
City of Threads
City of Threads is a level-up dungeon in The War Within. It’s also the capital city of the Nerubians in Azj-Kahet. It features four bosses: Orator Krix’vizik, Fangs of the Queen, The Coaglamation, and Izo, the Grand Splicer.
The Stonevault
The Stonevault is another level-up dungeon in The War Within. It features four bosses, E.D.N.A., Skarmorak, the Forge Speakers, and High Speaker Eirich. It’s located in the Earthenworks within the Ringing Deeps zone.
The Dawnbreaker
The Dawnbreaker is a max-level dungeon in The War Within. You can find it at Tenir’s Ascent in Hallowfall. There are three bosses: Speaker Shadowcrown, Anub’ikkaj, and Rasha’nan.
Mists of Tirna Scithe
Mists of Tirna Scithe is a dungeon from the Ardenweald zone in Shadowlands that’s best known for its annoying maze puzzle. Most players skipped it with a nifty addon, but the puzzle can easily cost your run if you make a wrong turn. It’s a three-boss dungeon.
The Necrotic Wake
I still have nightmares about The Necrotic Wake. Not only does this four-boss dungeon have a clunky layout, and there’s a long runback if you wipe, but it’s packed with lethal mechanics. It’s located in Bastion, and it’ll be curious to see how Blizzard approaches Covenant ability interactions inside the dungeon.
Siege of Boralus
Siege of Boralus is a Battle for Azeroth dungeon that’s already been a part of a Mythic+ dungeon rotation when the expansion was current. This dungeon has four bosses, and it’s located in Boralus if you’re playing Alliance or in Tiragarde Sound for Horde.
Grim Batol
Finally, Grim Batol is a Cataclysm dungeon that features four bosses—General Umbriss, Forgemaster Throngus, Drahga Shadowburner, and Erudax. It has a circular layout, like Ironforge, and the bosses have unique mechanics. While the dungeon will probably remain fairly similar to its original state, Blizzard will surely tweak it to fit modern WoW.
