WoW The War Within patch roadmap
Pre-expansion update
WoW: The War Within pre-patch 11.0 drops on July 23 and adds the following:
- Warbands, a new feature that expands WoW’s account-wide progression to your other characters, even those on different factions.
- Skyriding, which expands Dragonflight’s Dragonriding system to over 400 other flying mounts.
- Cross-realm guilds, a much-requested system that does exactly what it says on the tin.
- The Radiant Echoes pre-patch event, where players have to fight the spirits of enemies from Azeroth’s past in one of three zones: Searing Gorge, Dustwallow Marsh, or Dragonblight.
Early access
By pre-ordering WoW: The War Within’s most expensive edition, you can play the expansion early, starting Aug. 22. It’s the first time Blizzard has let players purchase early access to a WoW expansion, and it’s a controversial change.

- Delves—a new type of bitesize dungeon you can complete in 10 to 15 minutes.
- The Earthen as a playable Allied Race.
- A new PvP Battleground, Deephaul Ravine.
