College Football 25 has plenty to sink your teeth into, but some mechanics can be confusing, including the mysterious ATH position. If you want to know what it means, we have you covered.
Dynasty mode players in College Football 25 have been given an absolute field day with the mode with the ability to rebuild any school. Central to that is recruiting, with work on landing new players required throughout the season.
There are a variety of positions in College Football 25, and while the majority will be familiar to those who watch the sport or play Madden, the ATH position is different. Thankfully, there’s an easy explanation.
ATH in College Football 25 is a position given to players who are athletically talented and can play several different roles. Although they don’t initially have a fixed position, you must select one before the start of the season.
Working out the best position for an ATH player in College Football 25 can be a difficult task but the key is to look at their stats and archetypes. For example, if a player has a Route Runner archetype, it’s a big hint that Wide Receiver is the best choice for them.
A player with strong blocking skills and wide receiver stats, meanwhile, can be used as a Tight End or a Cornerback, with the decision ultimately down to you to decide which area of the team you need further depth.
In the image above, the ATH player on my Recruiting Board in Dynasty has Throw Power, Short Accuracy, Medium Accuracy, Throw on Run, and Break Sack among their top stats, showing that he is the ideal fit as a Quarterback.
A player with the ATH position may not be able to play every position, however, so it’s important to scout them fully to see their strengths and weaknesses. You don’t want to bring in an ATH with the intention for them to play running back, only to see upon recruiting that they are not capable of filling the role.
