Madden 25 is already out in the wild as lucky players receive surprise access

Madden 25 is still a few weeks away from arriving, but a surprise was in store for some lucky players who somehow managed to receive access on Aug. 2.

Social media commenters raised the alarm, with some having surprise access to Madden 25 despite the full release date being Aug. 16 and early access beginning three days prior.

Some players have snuck through the gate early and have full access to the game. Though it’s unclear how many have been fortunate enough to get in and whether some falsely claim they’re playing for attention, there is evidence that some do have access.

We watched a stream where a player began a career in Franchise, showing off ratings and abilities for players on several teams—including many yet to be revealed by EA Sports.

Other images on social media indicate players have gained access to Ultimate Team, which, as Madden 25’s main competitive mode, is concerning.

It’s widely understood that content creators participating in EA’s Game Changers Network have already received access to the game. However, strict embargoes will remain in place to prevent them from revealing anything.

Players have started investigating how people have accessed the game, and some similarities are emerging. Firstly, all those with access we have seen are on Xbox, and players said they have not purchased the MVP Bundle, which includes College Football 25.

It remains to be seen what action EA Sports takes on the matter, if any, but it’s a frustrating situation for those still locked out who can see others beginning their journey.
