Fists of Fate is an Ancestral Unique pair of gloves in Diablo 4 that now offers incredible attack speed, critical strike chance, increased damage, and lucky hit chance. The best part is it’s equipable for all classes—but getting it can be challenging.

There are two ways you can get Fists of Fate in Diablo 4: As a drop from the Beast in the Ice or by defeating enemies and opening chests in World Tiers Three and Four.

You have a chance of getting Fists of Fate in World Tiers Three and Four from opening chests and defeating enemies. Even if you open chests and defeat enemies in these higher tiers, you aren’t guaranteed to get the Fists. So, it’s not a reliable way to get these gloves, and it’s too tedious to use as a farming method.

If you’re lucky enough to stumble across these gloves, then that’s amazing, but if you’re RNG is as terrible as mine, this method just isn’t going to get you these gloves.

On the other hand, Fists of Fate has a guaranteed chance of dropping if you defeat the Beast in the Ice. Defeating the Beast in the Ice on repeat until it drops the Fists of Fate is the most reliable method because he has to drop these gloves eventually. If you’ve never taken on the Beast in the Ice before, he’s found in the Glacial Fissure dungeon in the Fractured Peaks. You’ll need the Distilled Fear item to summon him. In season five his lair’s a standard dungeon, which means you no longer have to craft the sigil to enter.

Best uses for the Fists of Fate

Fists of Fate is one of the most versatile pieces of gear because it can be used by all classes. By equipping it, your character will gain the following affixes and effects:

  • Your attacks can randomly deal an increased percentage of their normal damage.
  • Attack speed.
  • Critical strike chance.
  • Chance of applying random crowd control effects.
  • Lucky hit chance.

If your build focuses on attack speed and critical strike chance, like the Rapid Fire Rogue, you may find these gloves to be of most use to you. But if you’re after specific builds that use these gloves, the only ones I could find from reliable Diablo 4 build guide sites, like WoWhead and Maxroll, include the following:

Rogues will benefit the most from the Fist of Fates. They can be used by all classes though, so they’ll tide you over until you can get the best gloves for your build.
