How to upgrade Smite 2 Founder’s Edition

Smite 2 Founder’s Edition allows players to get involved with the long-awaited sequel early, but we’re here to see if you can upgrade your chosen edition after purchasing.

Founder’s Editions are designed to reward players who purchase a game early in its testing. The Smite 2 Closed Alpha represents the first chance to test out new features and see the big changes distancing the sequel from its predecessor.

The MOBA has various Founder’s Editions containing a selection of different bonuses and benefits. But we’ve seen the chatter across the community who are concerned that the Standard Edition locks them out of upgrading to better editions, so let’s tell you everything you need to know.

Currently, you can’t upgrade your version of Smite 2 Founder’s Edition, but the developer is looking to implement this change in the future.

“Only the SMITE 2 Founder’s Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Ultimate Edition are available now, but we plan to add upgrade options later on when we are able to add them in game!,” Hi Rez Studios wrote.

So if you purchased the Standard Edition, the option to upgrade to either the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition will be made available. Whereas if you bought the Deluxe Edition, an upgrade to the Ultimate Edition is going to be a choice for you to mull over.

If you haven’t bought Smite 2 yet, hopefully this information has shone a light on your options and what’s available. Keep checking back as we look ahead to see when the edition upgrade option becomes a reality.

Until then, take a look at the complete trophy list, who the Gods and Goddesses are in Smite 2, as well as how to link your accounts for free Legacy Gems.
