How to play Keeper in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions

Are you looking to become a Quidditch legend? Then you’ll need to learn how to play Keeper well in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.

Just like in soccer, hockey, lacrosse, and other sports, the Keeper is a key position on any Quidditch squad. If your Keeper struggles, your team can find it difficult to even pick up a victory. It’s more important than most other positions to learn how to play because, in the end, it all relies on you.

Here’s how to play Keeper in Quidditch Champions.

While playing Keeper, you have two main tasks: prevent Chasers from scoring on your goal rings with the Quaffle, and use Playcaller to help out your squad on the pitch.

Stopping goals from scoring is simple, but it takes lightning-quick reactions to prevent the best players from beating you. You can free float while playing Keeper using right analog stick, but the heat turns on when the opposition approaches you with the Quaffle.

You can return to the center of your rings by pressing L2, but when it’s time to make a stop, hold L1 and get ready to move the right analog stick left to stop a shot on the left, up to stop a shot coming center, and right to stop one on the right.

At this point, you may have the Quaffle. You either stopped the shot or the team scored. You can then hold R2 to launch the Quaffle downfield to one of your Chaser teammates to spin the pitch to your team back on offense.

When your team is heading out on offense or returning on defense, this is where Playcaller comes into play. By pressing Triangle once the ability cooldown ends, you’ll enter a first-person view to fly over the field and place speed rings for your team to boost through.

You can do this on offense to give your squad the chance to speed away from the opposition or on defense to catch up to players with the Quaffle. While flying, place speed rings by pressing R2 in advantageous spots over the pitch.

That’s your main focus as a Keeper. The only other thing to look out for is when the Beater is aiming at you with their Bludger. An on-screen prompt will show you when the Bludger is headed your way, and you must dodge with L1 at the right time to move out of the Bludger’s way so you don’t lose health or get knocked out.

Use these tips and make sure to head to the practice mode to stay on your toes (or broom) before heading into multiplayer matches.
