Stop us if you’ve heard this before—the Ring of Mendeln isn’t a guaranteed drop. Instead, you earn it randomly, leaving you relying heavily on RNG and luck. Fortunately, there are ways to boost your chances.

The best way to farm for the Ring of Mendeln is to defeat the Beast in the Ice, which has the Ring of Mendeln in its loot table, with an increased chance of dropping the item when defeated. However, it can still be quite a grind as summoning materials are required.

You can find the Ring of Mendeln from other activities, including Gathering Legions, World Bosses, Helltides, and Nightmare Dungeons, with better odds when you increase the difficulty—so you can mix it up if you get bored of running the Beast in the Ice repeatedly.

There is a precise farming route you can take when hunting the Ring of Mendeln, starting with focusing on Nightmare Dungeons that are Tier 30 or higher. Though not a guaranteed drop, this is how Distilled Fear can be earned, which is used to summon Beast in the Ice.

Using this method, you can also try to farm Indira’s Memory, a new unique added in the Season of Witchcraft, and there are plenty of other Uniques that can drop, including The Unmaker, Mutilator Plate, Howl from Below, and Deathspeaker’s Pendant.
