Black Myth: Wukong has its fair share of secrets, and one of the mysteries in chapter two is the Buddha’s Eyeballs. These collectibles are easy to see but hard to collect because they’re scattered over different areas.
Buddha’s Eyeballs drop after you interact with the fallen heads of Buddha statues, and six of them are hiding in Squall Hideout and Rockrest Flats areas in Fright Cliff. You’re likely to spot a few on your own, but completing the set may be difficult.
Collecting all six of those items opens up a secret boss fight, which seems to be a part of a set of secrets hidden within secrets. Here’s where we found all six Buddha’s Eyeball locations in Black Myth: Wukong.
Where to find all Buddha’s Eyeballs in Black Myth Wukong
- Squall Hideout: Before the Keeper’s Shrine.
- Squall Hideout: On a ledge guarded by enemies.
- Squall Hideout: Across the second Eyeball.
- Squall Hideout: On an altar inside the cave.
- Squall Hideout: To the right of the Mother of Stone miniboss.
- Rockrest Flats: At the foot of a pillar.
Your search starts at the Squall Hideout area, which you can access by passing the bridge across from the Valley of Despair arena. Your first Buddha’s Eyeball will appear just before you can see a shrine.
From there, take the path on the right of the shrine. Look for a small staircase with a chest at its feet. Climb up and take down the ranged enemies on your way to find a Buddha’s Eyeball near you. Then look to your left to spot a third one.
Head back to the Squall Hideout Shrine and take the path on the left this time. Cross the first gate and look behind the statue on the left side to find an altar with another Buddha’s Eyeball ripe for the taking.
Keep going until you come out on the Rockrest Flats Shrine by taking the middle or the right path. Make an offering, then backtrack and take the elevated path on your right (if you have your back to the shrine). This area contains the Mother of Stone miniboss, required for the Man-In-Stone questline. To the right, however, you can spot a path leading to another Buddha’s Eyeball.
The final one is just left of the Rockrest Flat Shrine, just before the gate leading to the Stone Vanguard arena. And that’s exactly where you must go next.
How to use the Buddha’s Eyeballs in Black Myth Wukong
After you’ve collected all six Buddha’s Eyeballs, it’s time to put them to good use—which, in Black Myth: Wukong, probably means pummeling down a fantastic creature or two.
Head to the Stone Vanguard arena and interact with a rock mound. It’s hard to miss—it’s a creepy rock with multiple faces carved onto it.
After you’ve delivered the items to the rock formation, it will emerge as Shigandang, a huge stone fighter. As usual, watch out for his area-of-effect attacks and take advantage of its openings since it’s on the slower side (anything’s possible after you’ve beaten the Tiger Vanguard in the Crouching Tiger Temple). Alternatively, if you’re returning after gaining a few levels, you can power through him with your spells, spirits, and transformations.
Defeat the boss to obtain some materials and the Skandha of Feeling Key Item, which is bound to have its use in the future.
