All meta guns in Warzone Season 5: Best loadouts

Whether dropping into Urzikstan or Rebirth Island, carrying meta guns in Warzone can increase your chances of securing the dub.

Season five of Warzone introduced two new guns—the STG44 and Static-HV—taking the game’s arsenal to over 130 weapons. The update also brought many nerfs and buffs, shifting the meta once again. A few weapons, however, outperform others every season, so if you’re interested in running the meta guns in Warzone season five, here’s all the info you need to know.

Assault rifles, light machine guns, and snipers always dominate the long-range meta in Warzone. However, you need to run an SMG in meta as a secondary for the close-quarter combat in Resurgence or to simply finish off your opponents. We’ve listed the long and close-range meta guns in Warzone season five below.

STG44 – Best assault rifle in Warzone

Season five’s latest offering, the STG44, is a modernized version of the STG-44 from the World War II era. This assault rifle dominates the long-range meta because of its incredible accuracy and recoil control. But the cherry on top is the Quartermaster Suppressor, which is one of the two secret attachments introduced in season five that works wonders for all the long-range weapons, eliminating considerable visual recoil and adding lots more control without massive downsides.

We’re running the following STG44 build in Warzone season five:

  • Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
  • Barrel: Heinrichter C70 Long Bar
  • Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x
  • Ammunition: 7.92x33mm High Grain Rounds
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum

While the MTZ-556 got a considerable buff to its damage range in the season five patch, it’s always been tricky to land your shots afar due to the weapon’s rough sideways recoil. The two new attachments Quartermaster Suppressor and Paracord Grip rectify this recoil issue and make the assault rifle an absolute meta option in the new season.

Here’s the build we’re using for the MTZ-556 in Warzone:

  • Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
  • Barrel: MTZ Clinch Pro Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Paracord Grip
  • Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum

TAQ Eradicator – Best LMG in Warzone

Warzone’s long-range meta without an LMG capable of beaming across the map is incomplete. The TAQ Eradicator’s recent buffs might appear minimal, but equip the latest attachments, and voila, it shreds comfortably. Being an LMG, there’s a huge hit to your mobility, but if you like to run guns where you need to point and shoot, this is up your alley.

Here are the attachments for the TAQ Eradicator in Warzone that strengthen the LMG’s already incredible accuracy, damage range, and recoil control:

  • Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
  • Barrel: Conquer-70 Long Barrel
  • Stock: Tacverte Core Stock
  • Underbarrel: Paracord Grip
  • Ammunition: 7.62x51mm High Velocity

Kar98k – Best sniper in Warzone

The Kar98k, traditionally a sniper but introduced as a marksman rifle in MW3, remains the same in Warzone season five. It’s capable of one-shotting enemies around 80 meters and below. We prefer running the Kar98k because it offers considerably better handling and mobility than other guns capable of one-shotting, but you can run the KATT-AMR if you’re interested in a harder-hitting sniper rifle.

Here are the best attachments for Kar98k in Warzone:

  • Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor L
  • Barrel: Prazisionsgewehr 762 Long Barrel
  • Optic: XTEN Intlas AS-7
  • Stock: No Stock
  • Ammunition: 7.92x57mm High Grain Rounds

Reclaimer 18 – Best shotgun in Warzone

Devs fixed an issue for the Reclaimer 18 in the season five patch that saw the shotgun causing inconsistent damage to enemies in both fire types. The semi-auto mode also received a slight buff to its fire rate; you can two-shot enemies up close with this shotgun, and it’s also viable in mid-range combat, letting you knock enemies with just a few shots.

Considering how easy the Reclaimer 18 wreaks havoc in the lobbies, we might get a nerf for the shotgun in the next update; nevertheless, make sure to run the following attachments in the meantime:

  • Muzzle: XTEN Full Choke
  • Barrel: Discourager 900 Heavy Barrel
  • Laser: Kimura RYL33 Laser
  • Stock: No Stock
  • Ammunition: 12 Gauge Dragon’s Breath

Static-HV – Best SMG in Warzone

The new SMG in season five, the Static-HV is a gun tailor-made for movement enthusiasts. Additionally, the base version offers 50 rounds with a high fire rate, making it a great option for Resurgence or as a secondary in Urzikstan.

Here are the attachments to make the Static-HV a mainstay for close-range engagements in your Warzone loadouts:

  • Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
  • Barrel: Auger 840 Light Barrel
  • Laser: Kimura RYL33 Laser Light
  • Stock: SPRY 34 Light Stock
  • Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop

Superi 46

The Superi 46 has been meta in Warzone since its addition in season four. Despite its nerf in season five, it’s still an incredible SMG option for close-quarter combat. Here’s our tried and tested build for the Superi 46 in Warzone:

  • Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
  • Barrel: Bore 99 Short Barrel
  • Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Phantom Grip
