Prices for One Piece Card Game Romance Dawn Leaders, Secret and Super Rares, and alternate art foils have skyrocketed in the years after the game’s English launch, leaving many of the OP-01 chase cards worth quite a bit of money.
The One Piece Card Game made its official English debut on Dec. 2, 2022, and nearly immediately booster packs, starter decks, and boxes sold out across the U.S. and worldwide. While second and third-wave releases have since rolled out (and continue to hit shelves in 2024), One Piece’s popularity has certainly spiked card prices for its early sets.
Right now, booster box prices for Romance Dawn continue to sit as high as $300 or $400. Some generous vendors sell the packets for closer to $200, though they’re few and far between.
This has, unsurprisingly, left many Romance Dawn cards worth a lot of money.

12) Yamato Alt-Art Secret Rare — $43
Yamato is the second Secret Rare Parallel card in the Romance Dawn collection, though the Wano Country warrior doesn’t command quite the same price tag as the Manga version he’s competing with (more on that later). Yamato’s Green Secret Rare foil is valued at around $40. The Son of Kaido’s non-parallel version fetches closer to $10.
11) Crocodile Alt-Art Leader —$48
As one of the former Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile was certainly one of the stronger One Piece Card Game Leader cards in Romance Dawn. However, with Blue/Purple not coming out the gates as a strong color combo, the ex-Baroque Works commander’s Leader card quickly fell down the price tag pecking order. Most of the holding interest around this combo-colored commander now only exists thanks to his in-manga popularity.
10) Eustass “Captain” Kid Alt-Art Super Rare — $55
Kid’s eight-cost, brick-wall styled character card continues to see competitive play in 2024, leaving his parallel version as a must-buy for anyone looking to max-rarity their Green decks.
9) Kaido Alt-Art Leader — $56
As long as One Piece fans keep loving Wano Country and its epic saga, Kaido cards will hold value; this dual-colored Leader hasn’t been meta relevant for years, but the first alternate art Leader card for this former Emperor of the Sea makes up for that and more—as a collectable, this Kaido should hold steady above $50 as long as collectors are interested.
8) Boa Hancock Alt-Art Super Rare — $56
Here’s a perfect example of where character popularity can drive One Piece Card Game prices. Boa Hancock is a decently competitive card, especially at four-cost 5000 power and with the blocker ability, but her character card is worth as much as it is—upward of $60 USD for the alternate art version three years later—simply because she’s many fans’ favorite.
7) Zoro Alt-Art Super Rare — $62
As one of the earliest parallels in the One Piece Card Game (and designed around a character that rivals main character Luffy for popularity in the manga and anime) it’s unsurprising Zoro’s alt-art character has held value for this long.
6) Monkey D. Luffy Alt-Art Leader — $124
One Piece main character Monkey D. Luffy boasts several cards in Romance Dawn, with the most valuable being his alt-art Leader card, OP01-003. Right now, the dual-color Red and Green Leader sells for around $120 despite seeing basically no play.
5) Zoro Alt-Art Leader — $191
Roronoa Zoro was one of the strongest Red Leaders in the metagame when Romance Dawn was still young, though he’s shaping to return in Two Legends thanks to new Red rush cards. His effect, which gives all characters plus 1,000 power for a single attached Don, means he can lead any strong aggressive decklist with ease.
4) Nami Alt-Art Rare — $195
The Straw Hat Pirates’ wily navigator Nami is one of the most expensive character cards available in Romance Dawn. Her Rare Parallel commands a hefty $230 USD price tag despite rares being (relatively) common in the One Piece Card Game.
Nami’s price hike is helped along by two factors. One, the one-cost two-power card’s powerful search effect allows her to find other Straw Hats, which fit perfectly into several competitive strategies in the game’s early years. And two, like Boa above, Nami is simply one of the most popular characters in One Piece. This parallel is arguably the game’s original chase card.
3) Trafalgar Law Alt-Art Leader — $202
Another long-competitive Leader is Trafalgar Law, whose OP01-002 Leader card helmed one of the most interesting dual-color decks in the One Piece Card Game metagame through to Awakening of a New Era when Sakazuki squeezed him out of the meta. His alt-art Leader sells for up to $200.
2) Donquixote Doflamingo Alt-Art Leader — $267
Doflamingo is undoutedly the premier Blue Leader in the One Piece Card Game metagame right now, even eight expansions later, and that status helps his alt-art Leader in Romance Dawn clock up quite the price—it still costs well over $250.
1) Shanks Manga Rare — $1,575
The mysterious Red-Haired Shanks has the honor of being printed as One Piece Card Game’s first-ever “Manga” rare. The alternate art pull is a special version of the Emperor’s nine-cost, 10,000-power Secret Rare and currently fetches as much as $950 on the secondary market. At launch, players were paying more than $2,000 to get their hands on the collector’s edition release.
Update Sept. 4, 10:56pm CT: Refreshed and updated all Romance Dawn card prices now that more regular reprints runs (and the new One Piece Card Game Treasure Packs) have had a heavy impact on all these original One Piece cards.
