While it’s compulsory to complete each region’s Rescue Quest to progress in Creatures of Ava, that doesn’t mean you should ship off every creature you find in any old Rescue Bot. Every species has a purpose and a willingness to help—it’s up to you to make use of them.
Here are all species you can tame in Creatures of Ava, including their abilities, the difficulty to tame them, and the threat to Ava when infected with Withering.
All creatures and their abilities in Creatures of Ava
You should always keep creatures around as they’re guaranteed to be handy throughout your expedition. Each species has a helpful ability that can clear barricades or create brand new paths. Using what they have to offer can point Vic in the right direction to unlock permanent upgrades (like extra inventory storage).
Rescue Bots specify what animals you need to transport based on who’s nearby. Rescue Bot creatures are restricted to their zone. This means you won’t be able to use a species ability to unblock a passage or open a door if you shipped off all creatures in that area. Creatures do not respawn after teleporting.
So long as you’re exploring every inch of the region you’re in, you will inevitably run into all species in Creatures of Ava. Most species are wild, others Withered, but all can be saved via the scattered Rescue Bots. To tame, some creatures have tougher melodies to remember than others. The Tamura Grasslands has the easiest creatures to tame, but that’s unsurprising as it’s the first and only region you can continuously revisit in Creatures of Ava.
