The second level of the Gorilla Nebula in Astro Bot tasks you with finding another seven hidden Bots, three Puzzle Pieces, and even a gold pad that takes you to a secret level—but they can be hard to find if you don’t keep your eyes open.
Some of these collectibles are well off the beaten path, especially the Warp Pad, which, in my opinion, is nearly impossible to find if you don’t know it’s there. We’ll help you find everything!
All Az-Tech Trail Bot locations in Astro Bot
There are seven Bots to find in the Az-Tech Trail in Astro Bot. Here’s where you need to go.
Bot 1
The First Bot is shortly after entering the level. After some platforming, you encounter a red bug you must knock over to use as a jump pad. The Bot is located on the left platform.
Bot 2
After getting the boxing glove power-up, you encounter a cactus enemy that throws balls at you for the first time. To the right of it is a secret area where you can drop down and find the second Bot hiding with a bunch of squirrels.
Bot 3
Where the two cactus enemies are, when you’re fighting the second one, look to your left to see a suspicious block of fruit. Destroying it reveals a Crash Bandicoot Bot behind it.
Bot 4
After progressing through the level and entering a hidden tomb, when you reach the end of this mini-section, there is a gold door you can break with your boxing glove powerup to find a bot between four enemies.
Bot 5
After slingshotting yourself from the tomb, you encounter three Russian doll enemies. To the left is a jump pad with a Bot dangling from a tree. Hit the tree to have it fall and collect it.
Bot 6
The sixth Bot is located near the end of the level. You come across a climbable wall with moving platforms. One of the platforms has a red button you can pull with your boxing glove power-up to spawn a Bot in its mouth.
Bot 7
The final Bot is located in a secret area just before you end the level. When you climb up the wall near the end, there is a slingshot that fires you toward a mini-boss fight. Before using that slingshot, head left, and you’ll find a secret door that spawns you in a hidden area. Complete the area to get a Jak Bot, based on Jak from the Jak & Daxter series.
All Az-Tech Trail Puzzle Piece locations in Astro Bot
With the Bots secured, you can’t forget about the Puzzle Pieces in the Az-Tech Trail, and there are three to grab.
Puzzle Piece 1
After beating the two cactus enemies, you continue down a path and need to use the boxing glove power-up to swing up to a waterless lake. You can pull a secret red block to fill it with water, and the Puzzle Piece spawns afterward.
Puzzle Piece 2
After slingshotting yourself from the tomb and facing off against a couple of Russian doll enemies, you need to use the boxing glove power-up to break open some gold teeth and jump to a new section. Before you continue towards your third encounter with a cactus enemy, look right, and you’ll see a hidden area you can access by pulling a red toggle that spawns a Puzzle Piece at the end.
Puzzle Piece 3
During the level’s final area, you reach a climbing zone. There’s a red toggle you need to pull on with Astro on moving structures that spawns a handful of red platforms you can swing on. You can find the final Puzzle Piece as you climb up.
Astro Bot Az-Tech Trail secret exit pad location
The secret exit pad is located halfway through the level. You need to use two swinging platforms to enter a tomb area where you encounter a Russian doll enemy for the first time. Behind this enemy are four oddly placed torches on the wall.
Destroying all four torches opens up a secret room where you can pull on a cord to find a gold exit. It takes you out of the level and spawns you at a hidden level in an entirely new world. Exiting through this portal means you need to start the level from scratch the next time you continue.
