Shooting badges give you various bonuses when going for different types of shots, whether you’re a spot-up sniper that floats to the corner, an explosive shooter that frequents off-dribble shots, or sharpshooter that takes threes from the parking lot. There aren’t too many to choose from, but they will play a massive part in your playstyle and build.

There are only five different outside shooting badges to use if you frequently shoot in NBA 2K25, but they all have their place in various builds you might try out during your career. Here are the best shooting badges for various playstyles you should keep an eye out for.

Deadeye

Deadeye is the essential shooting badge you’ll need to acquire for any build since it reduces the penalty you receive when taking a jump shot with a defender closing in or contesting. Whether you’re taking some classic mid-range jumpers or shooting from the logo, there will always be defenders looking to block your shot—so Deadeye is a needed weapon.

Shifty Shooter

Since most players are focused on making their own plays, Shifty Shooter is a great badge to use when facing up against a defender one-on-one. The badge increases the ability to hit jump shots after chaining a ton of dribble moves, while also on the move. This way, you can set yourself up with a cross over or spin move before hitting a nasty fadeaway on an opponent that was left with a couple of broken ankles.

Limitless Range

If you’re a true shooter, then Limitless Range is an important badge you’ll need in your inventory. This badge increases the range that you can effectively take shots from beyond the arc, allowing you to make some disgusting threes that would make Steph Curry proud. Even if you aren’t taking shots from the bleachers, you will need to make some plays at the end of the shot clock that might be outside of your normal reach.

Bonus: Set Shot Specialist and Mini Marksman

Set Shot Specialist and Mini Marksman are badges you’ll only need if you’re trying for a specific build or playstyle. For the former, you must be a player that likes to take a position and fire from a stand-still, since it boosts the chance of hitting these types of shots. The latter, on the other hand, is used when your player model is shorter than the defender, since it increases your chance of hitting shots over taller players.
