Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft’s return to the previously dormant Budokai Tenkaichi series fans have wanted for 15 years. And, while this new entry will look different from the classic 2000s titles, the wait for more controller-breaking beam clashes is shrinking.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO has an Oct. 11, 2024, release date, with the game set to launch at midnight local time on console and 12pm CT on PC. So, if you’re on console, the game will release when the clock hits midnight in your region, but, if you’re on PC, you need to wait a bit longer.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO early access release date and time
If you don’t want to wait that long, you can get early access to Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, starting Oct. 8—but it will cost you.
Those who purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Sparking! ZERO get three days early access to the game. We early access to go live around the same time as the main launch (though this hasn’t been confirmed). So, for console players, our countdown below is counting down to midnight CT on Oct. 8.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO PC early access
The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions come with a bunch of other goodies, including the game’s season pass, which adds new fighters to the game’s life system. Those who pre-order the game also get early access to seven characters before anyone else. These include three versions of Gogeta (Super) three versions of Broly (Super), and one final unrevealed playable character.
The Premium Collector’s Edition, however, does not include three days of early access, but it does come with a massive figure of Legendary Super Saiyan Broly and Ultra Instinct Goku.
What platforms will Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO be available on?
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). Like many of this year’s releases, Sparking! ZERO isn’t coming to last-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One. There’s also no Switch release in sight.
