‘Film that was the highest-grossing of all time before Star Wars was released’ clue difficulty, rated

When I read today’s clue, I couldn’t even think of a franchise that did incredibly well before Star Wars. If I hadn’t already solved some of the crossword clues, it would have taken me much longer to figure out that the answer was Jaws because I’m not a big fan of thrillers and horror movies. So, I would have been at a loss. If you struggled to get the answer, you’re not alone, and I would give it a difficulty rating of four out of five.
