Free-to-play EA FC rival UFL set for second open beta—and it’s much sooner than you think

Soccer fans have plenty to look forward to with a new season rapidly approaching, and the good news is you can enjoy UFL again soon, thanks to its imminent second open beta.

UFL‘s initial open beta earlier this year attracted a staggering 1.6 million players worldwide, providing a hands-on experience with the title. Those who missed out (or are craving more) don’t need to wait much longer.

Players who participated in the previous open beta can continue their progress with the exception of the skins they unlocked. This is because the devs have reworked skins for the second beta, and those from the first beta are now unavailable.

Those who owned skins will be compensated for what they lost with hard currency. This allows players to dive back into the market and pick up some newly created and revamped skins instead.

As you’d expect from an open beta, the progress you earn will not carry over to the full launch of UFL later this year. However, those who participate will get rewards that are yet to be fully confirmed—which may include unique skins.

Launching the UFL beta at the start of August is a great move by developer Strikerz to ramp up interest in the title, particularly with the new seasons in the top leagues in Europe just weeks away.

There is a gap in the market with EA FC 25 due to release on Sept. 27, which is still a long way off.
