Glacioclasm god rolls and best perks in Destiny 2

The Dawning event is once again in full swing in Destiny 2. While baking delicious cookies to deliver to your favorite vendor is fun, the main reason to play is to hunt down great rolls of limited-time Dawning weapons such as Glacioclasm.

Glacioclasm is a High-Impact Frame Void Fusion Rifle, and in 2024, it has been reprised once more with a fresh set of perks. Unlike last year’s iteration, it has some spicy new options for PvP, including the new perk—Closing Time. Don’t forget that you can also enhance this weapon to get even more benefits from already great perks.

The Dawning event is available for a limited time, so here are the Glacioclasm god rolls for PvE and PvP in Destiny 2 so you can start chasing them down as soon as possible.

What is the Glacioclasm god roll in Destiny 2?

Glacioclasm PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Polygonal Rifling
  • Battery: Liquid Coils
  • First perk: Overflow or Envious Assassin
  • Second perk: Controlled Burst or Reservoir Burst
  • Masterwork: Charge Time
  • Weapon Mod: Backup Mag

Glacioclasm PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Battery: Accelerated Coils
  • First perk: Under Pressure or Slideshot
  • Second perk: Closing Time
  • Masterwork: Charge Time
  • Weapon Mod: Ballistics

The PvE god roll for Glacioclasm remains the same and similar to Scatter Signal. In the third column, there are Overflow and Envious Assassin to help with reloading. In the fourth column, there’s either Controlled Burst or Reservoir Burst. Controlled Burst is generally better as the main use for a Fusion Rifle is to shred tanky enemies rather than cause explosions to clear red bars.

High-Impact Frame Fusion Rifles have high charge time and range, which makes them a situational choice in PvP, especially when there are Rapid-Fire Fusion Rifles like Zealot’s Reward. However, you can make them work with the right playstyle and perks.

For PvP, Glacioclasm is back with several new perks that make it even better than it was before. The 2024 version can roll with the good ol’ Under Pressure in the third column for increased accuracy and stability and Closing Time in the fourth column for increased range, accuracy, and handling.

You can swap Under Pressure for Slideshot to get extra range, depending on your weapon’s base range. It also depends on how often you slide in PvP when using Fusion Rifles. Another notable perk in the third column is Lone Wolf. It increases aim assist, aim down sights speed, and airborne effectiveness (these effects increase if no allies are nearby), but you’re missing out on 30 stability that Glacioclasm desperately needs.

Closing Time is the new addition to Glacioclasm in the fourth column, and it’s absolutely worth using inside of PvP. Because you start a round with one Special ammo (and get only one from Special ammo crates), you always get the maximum effects of Closing Time: 20 range, 50 handling, and decreased accuracy cone size.

How to get Glacioclasm in Destiny 2

You can only get Glacioclasm during the Dawning event in Destiny 2. One copy of the weapon is available via the Yarn Maker event card challenge that requires you to defeat targets with Strand.

After that, you must bake and deliver treats to different characters. Delivering gifts can reward you with a legendary A Gift In Return that you can focus at Eva Levante in the Tower to get specific weapons, including Glacioclasm and the Mistral Lift Linear Fusion Rifle.

To unlock weapon focusing, you must purchase the Giftwrapped Exchange Ticket or Limited Exchange Ticket upgrade for 35 Dawning Spirit each.

Limited Exchange Ticket:

Limited Exchange Ticket upgrade allows you to focus specific weapons. However, you must first unlock the target weapon in collections via the event card challenge or random drops from the Festive Engram. Older versions of the weapon from previous years also count.
