How to complete the Courtesy Visit quest in Escape from Tarkov

Jaeger’s got another task for you in Escape from Tarkov, something a little close to his heart. He wants you to check up on some classmates of his from long ago who were settled in TerraGroup’s “health resort” just off the shoreline of Tarkov.

Courtesy Visit sees you trudge across swampy bogs and miles of land, and Jaeger’s not going to like what you find there. Here’s how to complete the Courtesy Visit quest in Escape from Tarkov.

There are four objectives to completing the Courtesy Visit quest in Escape from Tarkov. You’ll need to drop into Shoreline and head to the abandoned village to the far northwest and visit three houses—the Fisherman’s, Chairman’s, and Priest’s—before extracting with the “Survived” status.

REQUIREMENTS

You must be level 20 in Escape from Tarkov and have completed The Survivalist Path – Tough Guy quest before you can begin Courtesy Visit.

This means you can’t just drop in, run through the houses, and extract—you’ll need to earn enough experience to satisfy Jaeger, so eliminate a Scav or loot a bunch and don’t extract until you’ve been in the raid for at least seven minutes.

Otherwise, there isn’t much to this quest. The hardest part will be getting to the village: Shoreline is a massive map, and if, like me, you spawned on the coastline to the far south, you’ll need to walk a long, long way to the village.

Once you arrive, you’ll see a smattering of houses around the bog. You only need to visit three: We’ve highlighted them for you on the map above, and explain in detail what they look like below. Be aware if you walk off the beaten path in the village, the swampy water slows you down heavily. Stick to the bridges and long grassy pathways to get this quest done quickly.

1) Fisherman’s house

The Fisherman’s house is the northernmost and westernmost of all the Tarkov houses in the swamp and features several wooden-planked bridges spanning the bog. It’s got three whole windows to its northern face and a chimney.

2) Chairman’s house

Easily the highest quality house remaining in the swampy village, the Chairman’s house is the southernmost and westernmost in the village. It can be spotted clearly from the Fisherman’s house if you look directly south.

3) Priest’s house

The Priest’s house lies on a hill overlooking the village just southwest of the church. If you head directly east from the Chairman’s house, you’ll see the green hill with the run-down structure awaiting you. It’s got a clear view of the village and church towers and has a large sheet hanging on a clothesline out back.

If you make it out alive and extract, your Escape from Tarkov mission will be completed. Jaeger will then reward you with 11,800 expereince, 35,000 Roubles, five Emelya rye croutons, and five packs of milk as well as a little vendor reputation.
