To open the Dusty Prospector’s Chest in The War Within, you need to find five Rough Deep Gem Shards (Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, and Topaz) in the Ringing Deep zone and use these to unlock the Dusty Prospector’s Chest.
Where to find the Dusty Prospector’s Chest in The War Within
The Dusty Prospecto’s Chest is located inside the Gundargaz Inn in the Ringing Deeps at the coordinates 49 and 31.
If you haven’t found the five gems, you won’t be able to open this chest or make progress toward the Treasures of the Ringing Deep achievement, so its best you get your hands on those gems first.

The five gems needed to open the Dusty Prospector’s Chest can be found scattered throughout the Ringing Deeps in the following locations:
- Rough Deep Amethyst Shard – Coordinates: 57 and 21.
- Rough Deep Emerald Shard coordinates: 59 and 38.
- Rough Deep Ruby Shard coordinates: 57 and 49.
- Rough Deep Topaz Shard coordinates: 62 and 63.
- Rough Deep Diamond Shard coordinates: 68 and 53.
Once you’ve found all five gems, return to Gundargaz Inn and use them at Dusty Prospector’s Chest.
How to use the gems to open the Dusty Prospector’s Chest
To use the five rough deep gems to open the Dusty Prospector’s Chest, simply interact with the chest, and it will automatically open. Once open, you can collect the following rewards:
- Two Radiant Rubies (these gems are useful for Jewelcrafters and can be sold and bought at the Auction House).
- Two Extravagant Emeralds (these gems are useful for Jewelcrafters and can be sold and bought at the Auction House).
- One Stunning Sapphire (this gem is useful for Jewelcrafters and can be sold and bought at the Auction House).
- 150 Reputation with The Assembly of the Deeps.
Now that the chest has been opened, it will disappear, and you’ll have completed one of the treasure tasks for the Treasures of the Ringing Deeps achievement.
