How to fix error code 267 in Roblox

It’s a gamer’s worst nightmare: Starting your gaming session after a long day, only to be kicked from your match out of nowhere. And Roblox‘s error code 267 is a tricky one that appears in different forms.

You might find the error code 267 when the game has trouble loading your data, when a malicious script is detected on your side, when an admin script kicks you out, when you’re banned, when your internet connection is having issues, and even when servers are down. So how do you know?

There are a few things you can do to find out what is preventing you from playing your Roblox. Most of these fixes are simple and might help getting you back into the game.

How to check Roblox server status

This is, by far, the easiest and hardest item on the list at the same time. You simply check the server status to learn if there is a server-wide issue affecting you, or if the servers are okay and the problem is on your end.

It is the easiest because all you have to do is click a button, and the hardest because if there is a server-wide issue, there is nothing you can do about it but wait.

Troubleshooting error code 267 in Roblox

Check if your internet connection or browser is having issues

When the problem is on your end, it might still be simple to solve—just make sure to follow the basic procedure. Here are the usual suspects:

  • Check the status of your internet connection in case there is an outage in your neighborhood
  • Restart your modem and router to guarantee you don’t have faulty or bugged equipment
  • Close your browser and reopen it later to get rid of any problems with the current instance of the game
  • Update your browser to make sure you have no compatibility issues
  • Clear your browser’s cache can help with slow loading and loading errors
  • Check your antivirus or firewall to make sure no one is blocking the game

Check if you’ve been banned from the game or kicked out by an admin or malicious script

We know that this might not be the answer you want to hear, but in the case of a ban or a suspension… all you can do is simply wait it out. You can possibly contact the support team or the admin of the specific game in the meantime, at best.

Players have reported encountering error code 267 when the game detects a malicious script with a kick command on their end—even if they didn’t know it was malicious themselves, the script is programmed to kick you out of the game. When incorrectly placed, that might cause you a headache.

To check if you have a malicious script of that type, follow the steps below:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + F, which is a command to search your scripts
  • Then, look for :Kick commands to find any scripts containing those
  • Once you find out where they are, you may edit or remove them to stop the issues

If Roblox is having problems loading your data

When you get the error code 267 with a message that mentions “player data” or “error loading,” it means the game found an issue when loading your data, then stopped loading altogether to prevent the loss of your data, players have reported. Luckily, that is also easy to solve.

The best thing to do when you encounter these messages is simply to join another server. A private server might be easier. After doing so, the problem usually goes away.

Another tip to prevent this from happening again is to use the random server selection from an extension called RoPro, which is full of features to enhance your Roblox experience.

If nothing else works

Did none of the fixes above work for you? Are you still having trouble figuring out what exactly happened?

In this case, the best thing to do is contact the Roblox support team and let them know. This way, you get a solution that is specifically related to your experience.
