How to fix Smite 2 missing content error

There are bound to be a handful of problems when you launch a game, especially if it’s online. With the arrival of Smite 2, there’s a chance you might encounter a missing content error message, which causes the game to not display all of your items.

Many Smite 2 players are encountering the missing content error message during the initial closed alpha. Most fans likely hope these errors only happen during the closed alpha, but they could continue to appear through the game’s open beta and initial launch. Here’s what you need to know about how to fix the missing content error while playing Smite 2.

The missing content error in Smite 2 is expected as it takes some time for the initial information to transfer from your main Smite account to your new one. Because this initially happened during the closed alpha testing, several players making their way over from the first game are experiencing it, and it could become an issue again during the 1.0 release of Smite 2. You’ll also want to ensure you’ve connected your first Smite account with the one you’re playing on in Smite 2.

If you have yet to connect these accounts, there’s a website on Hi-Rez’s primary site where you can sync your Smite and Smite 2 accounts across various platforms. You’ll need to log in with your primary Hi-Rez account and head over to your settings. There’s a section called “linked accounts” where you can do this. You need to know the login information for any Smite account you want to sync, whether you play on the Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Store, Xbox, or Steam.

PlayStation users are not included in the cross-progression feature for Smite, however, and you can’t bring your progress over from your Xbox, Switch, or PC accounts.

You’ll want to give the process of all skins, voice packs, and information making its way over to your Smite 2 account at least a day or two. The Hi-Rez development team has shared that this rollout could take some time and won’t happen immediately. If you’re missing any specific content on your Smite 2 account, wait a few days and then contact the Hi-Rez team to see if they can assist you.
