How to get and use Ornate Coins in Throne and Liberty

Scouting the entire map may not be fun, but Throne and Liberty makes it worth it by offering some exclusive rewards via Ornate Coins. Here’s everything you need to know about Ornate Coins in Throne and Liberty, including how to get and use them.

You can get Ornate Coins in Throne and Liberty by collecting purple notes and filling out the Collections Codex. Each purple note with lore and stories scattered across the world grants you three Ornate Coins.

The best way to hunt for Ornate Coins is to explore every point of interest. While many of them don’t have any markers on the map, any buildings, camps, or ruins are worth exploring, especially if there are NPCs. Notes hardly ever lie around in the middle of nowhere (unless you’re in larger towns). Make sure to collect any of the notes you come across while completing quests and contracts, too. The last thing you want to do is come back looking for one note you could have picked up earlier.

If you want to take a look at the Collection Codex and see how many notes are left in a certain area, here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the menu
  2. Select Codex
  3. Head to the Collection tab

In the Ornate Coins section of the Shop, there are multiple items you can buy with Ornate Coins. The items range from Growthstones and Growth Books to upgrade your equipment and skills to titles and cute Amitoi.

There’s a limit to how many items you can buy per character. Some are limited to one-time purchases, while others refresh weekly and monthly. Since the Ornate Coins aren’t endless, be mindful of what you spend them on and save them if you don’t need anything. The best rewards, like the Fairy Melapin Amitoi, cost up to 1,500 Ornate Coins, so get ready for a long grind.

Ornate coin binding:

Ornate Coins and the Shop items are bound to your character and not to your account. This means you’ll have to collect all of them again if you decide to create a new character and start over.

As the game grows, we’ll likely get new areas with notes to collect and maybe even new sources of Ornate Coins.
