Destiny 2’s long list of memorable weapons only grows with each passing episode and season, but some of them stand the test of time for their strength and prowess.
Commemoration is a weapon that players have been hunting for a god roll with for years, and that continues into 2024 and beyond. You can still get the gun, but it takes some good timing, a lot of grind, and even more luck.

How to get Commemoration in Destiny 2
Commemoration can only be acquired as a random drop from the final boss in the Deep Stone Crypt Raid: Taniks, the Abomination. Deep Stone Crypt was the raid from the 2020 expansion Beyond Light.
Each week in the Legends section of the game’s Director menu, there will be a featured raid. You must wait until Deep Stone Crypt is the featured raid during any given week, and then clear the raid to defeat Taniks.
Once you’ve cleared the raid, you can farm it over and over again during the week it’s featured to earn as many drops as possible. You are free to complete the raid to earn as many drops as you want while it is featured, and do so as much as possible, because it will then rotate and won’t be featured again for several weeks.
Since the weapon only drops from the final boss, you can also use checkpoints to find fireteams playing that part of the raid by using the Checkpoint Bot.
