Undisputed is the latest boxing video game, aiming to fill the vacuum of the Fight Night and Knockout King titles of the 2000s. With a career mode and a diverse and expansive roster of licensed boxers, it has all the ingredients to reignite this subgenre of sports games.
Developed by Steel City Interactive and published by Deep Silver, Undisputed awaits its full 1.0 release later this year. Until that time, however, you can be part of the game’s early access. Here’s how.
How to play Undisputed early
Undisputed is out in early access on PC (through Steam) now. This means you can buy the game on Valve’s storefront today and play it in its current state while the developers iron out any early kinks before its full release on Oct. 8.
In its current 0.7 version, Undisputed has more than 70 fighters ranging from legendary figures like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson to modern sensations of the sport Tyson Fury, Canelo Álvarez, and Terence Crawford. Steel City Interactive has also introduced new venues, Career Mode, Character Select Customisation, Character Creator, flat-footed movement, and more across Undisputed’s early access period.
As for things to expect leading up to the full release, optimization and polish are the major goals of the developers.
Can you play Undisputed early access on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S?
Undisputed‘s early access is only available on PC. However, the full version will be on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. So, if you are on one of the consoles, you’ll have to wait until Oct. 11 to play the game. Pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe WBC Edition will let you play from Oct. 8.
