If you want to test out the upcoming New World Aeternum expansion and be a part of the feedback for the full launch in October, you can participate in the four-day open beta. It’s easy to sign up and you’ll be able to play with friends in different platforms.
How to play the New World Aeternum open beta
Go to your platform’s store to download and play the New World Aeternum open beta once it starts. The open beta starts on Sept. 13 at 11am CT and will run until Sept. 16 11am CT. It will be available for PC through Steam, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Whan can you do in the New World Aeternum open beta?
You’ll be able to access all content until level 31, so progress will be capped at level 30 during open beta. You can continue playing after you reach level 31, but you won’t receive any XP or unlock any game features.
Aside from the usual gameplay, there will be three modes available during the open beta: 3v3 Arenas will unlock at level 20, Expeditions—except for Savage Divideand Glacial Tarn—and Influence Races. As you progress in the game, you’ll earn rewards you can claim when the game releases. Here are all the rewards you can get by playing the New World Aeternum open beta:
- Participate in Open Beta: Aeternian Trailblazer – Title
- Reach level 10: Vambrace of the Aeternian Adventurer – Gloves
- Reach level 15: Jackboots of the Aeternian Adventurer – Footwear
- Reach level 20: Britches of the Aeternian Adventurer – Legwear
- Reach level 25: Tricorn of the Aeternian Adventurer Headwear and Greatcoat of the Aeternian Adventurer Chestwear
New World Aeternum releases on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on Oct. 15. On PC, the game will be free to players who own both New World and the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion.
