Reaching level 80 in WoW The War Within unlocks a ton of new content, including some new questlines. One of them, An End to the End, is part of a wider chain in Azj-Kahet. You’re in the right place if you’re wondering how to start or complete this quest.
WoW The War Within: An End to the End quest guide
In WoW The War Within, An End to the End is part of a quest chain that starts at Widow Arak’nai in Azj-Kahet. You can find her in The Weaver’s Lair at coordinates 56, 44. You need to be level 80 to get the first quest in the chain: Advance to Faerin.
Arak’nai sends you to Faerin in Faerin’s Advance in northern Azj-Kahet, near coordinates 55, 20. Complete the Here’s the Plan quest, which just involves listening to Faerin and gathering a few items nearby, then get the To Arathi’s End quest and meet Faerin and Gazlowe at Arathi’s End, near the coordinates 64, 20.
They give you three new quests that are all pre-requisites to An End to the End: BOOM Treats!, Invasion Disruption, and The Blacksmith’s Fate. These quests require you to destroy five Nerubian Balliastae, disrupt the invasion by killing Nerubians in the area until the progress bar is full, and track down the lost blacksmith. The enemies here are mostly elites, but Faerin and Gazlowe do most of the heavy lifting, so you shouldn’t find it too difficult.
After completing these three quests, turn them in to Faerin and Gazlowe (who are still following you). Then, Faerin gives you the An End to the End quest. This requires you to head into the Sundered’s Crucible at 50, 58, where you’ll face the quest chain’s big baddie: Surek’Tak the Sundered.
Speak to Faerin and tell her you’re ready, and your two allies will charge into battle with you. Surek’Tak deals lots of AoE damage, but the damage zones are well-telegraphed by markings on the ground, so keep moving, and you’ll make it through the encounter in no time. You can also use your quest ability to make Gazlowe shoot a ballista at the boss, dealing substantial damage.
After beating Surek’Tak, you can turn in An End to the End to get the last few quests in the chain. Faerin wants you to burn the blacksmith’s Breastplate in Hallowfall, and at the end, you get the Honorable Arathi Breastplate as a reward, an uncommon-quality plate chest item.
