Spreading the Light is a world event that takes place in Hallowfall in World of Warcraft’s The War Within expansion, and it requires lighting up the area using Radiant Remnants.
However, there is a bit of confusion among players about how to start and complete this event. Here’s everything you need to know!
How to start the Spreading the Light world event in The War Within
At the time of writing, you can’t start the Spreading of the Light world event in The War Within, even though you can clearly see the event near the Light’s Blooming area of Hallowfall. This event won’t start until after the Weekly Reset, according to the official community forum post from WoW community manager Kaivax on Aug. 26.
Although the devs haven’t released an official reset time, Kaivax mentioned in the post that reset would be in around 17 hours from the time of writing their post, which roughly equates to the following times:
- 10am, Aug. 27 (CT).
- 8am, Aug. 27 (PDT).
- 5pm, Aug. 28 (CEST).
- 1am, Aug. 28 (AEST).
As this is a rough estimate, the official reset times may differ, but it gives us a general idea of when we can expect the reset to occur and can finally start the Spreading the Light world event.
How to complete the Spreading the Light event in The War Within
Although we don’t have any official information on how to complete this The War Within event just yet, we can speculate that it will involve lighting the flames around the area using Radiant Remnants, which you can get by killing mobs.
There are four Lesser Keyflames you can light, each requiring three Radiant Remnants, and once you’ve lit them all, this should complete the event. However, we won’t be able to confirm how to complete the Spreading the Light event until it’s live after reset.
For now, though, collect as many Radiant Remnants as you can in preparation for when the event goes live.
