NBA 2K25 has plenty of visual effects to spice gameplay up, including the Shot Meter. We’ll show you how to change the Shot Meter in NBA 2K25 or completely turn it off if you’re not a fan of visual cues.
All UI elements, including the Shot Meter, can be changed or turned off via the Customize HUD tab, which you can find in the Main Menu and within the menus of the various NBA 2K25 game modes. Changing settings from the game’s Main Menu applies them to all game modes and is the easiest way to set your preferences without having to bother on a term-by-term basis.

In addition to turning the Shot Meter on and off, you can choose one of three visual representations—an arrow, a ring, or a dial—its color and size, and where it appears during a shooting motion—to the side, by the head, or below the feet of your player. You can further shape the in-game UI to your liking by adjusting other options in the Customize HUD tab, including player indicators, shot feedback, perfect release visualizers, and others.
