Is Peak Physique armor worth it in Helldivers 2?

The Viper Commandos premium Warbond added armor and a new passive to Helldivers 2. The choice of armor can heavily affect your performance, so here’s everything you need to know about the Peak Physique armor passive in Helldivers 2 and whether it’s worth using.

How good is Peak Physique armor passive in Helldivers 2?

Peak Physique passive is available on two body armor pieces in Helldivers 2: PH-9 Predator and PH-202 Twigsnapper. Both are available in the Viper Commandos Warbond for 40 and 45 Warbond Medals, respectively. The passive increases melee damage by 50 percent and improves weapon handling with less drag on weapon movement.

The melee damage increase of this passive is useless because you don’t use your melee in the game anyway. It’s far too dangerous and inefficient when enemies swarm you. On the other hand, the weapons handling buff is noticeable and can be worth it if you’re using heavy support weapons.

With this passive, your weapons are quicker to pull out and aim, which is incredibly useful on support weapons. The new MLS-4X Commando and Autocannon are much more comfortable, especially when you have to stay on the move.

Not all support weapons need the handling buff, though. My go-to support weapon, the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon, feels comfortable enough without the Peak Physique, allowing me to use something like armor with the Democracy Protects passive to have a chance at surviving a lethal blow.
