LoL Introduces new haunting Fright Night skins to get you ready for spooky season

Autumn is well and truly upon us—so it’s no surprise that one of League of Legends’ most iconic horror-themed skinlines is getting a new batch of content.

Fright Night is a cosmetic line inspired by classic Halloween aesthetics and films, transforming League characters into horrifying monsters, slashers, and spirits. The second wave of Fright Night skins includes cosmetics for Zeri, Pyke, Shaco, Nunu & Willump, and a Legendary skin for Veigar. The skinline also introduces Prestige Fright Night Zeri, which players can purchase in the Mythic Shop once the entire line is released.

The skins were revealed on the official League of Legends X account (formerly Twitter), alongside a video that showcases the effects each has on offer. This reveal coincides with Worlds 2024, League’s yearly competitive world championship. The event typically offers sneak peeks at different content coming to the game, so keep your eyes peeled for any more skins.

While all of the new Fright Night cosmetics look fantastic, Legendary Fright Night Veigar takes the cake. As a Legendary skin, it comes with new animations that transform the lovable Yorlde into a walking nightmare on the rift.

Fans on X are generally in agreement, mentioning how the skinline includes fantastic particle effects and interesting designs for every champion included. One Veigar player couldn’t contain their excitement over the Legendary skin, exclaiming in all caps, “THIS VEIGAR SKIN OMG.”

Others aren’t so happy with the champions included in the skinline, and are specifically upset over a certain Yordle getting snubbed. One user replied to the announcement with a familiar question: “Once again, where is Vex?” Back when the first batch of skins were released in 2022, fans questioned Riot about Vex’s lack of skin, and it looks like the same question is rearing its head just two years later.

Either way, all of the new Fright Night skins are available now on the PBE and will hit League of Legends‘ live servers in the coming weeks.
