LoL players left with sour taste in their mouths after Riot teases ‘filler’ Nautilus skin

League of Legends fans are unhappy with the upcoming Mythic Nautilus skin, calling it “filler” and underwhelming. For a skin this rare, fans are demanding more from Riot.

The Crystalis Indomitus is a Prestige skin line that was introduced to League of Legends Season 14 in Patch 14.6. This skin line sees once ordinary LoL champions succumbing to corruption from the crystals. Crystalis Indomitus Nautilus will be released in LoL Patch 14.18 (dropping Sept. 11) in the Mythic Shop, and will be the final champion in this skin line for Season 14. To get this skin in-game, fans must spend 100 Mythic Essence.

After the PBE preview was released, fans saw firsthand how the skin looked in-game and weren’t happy. LoL fans expressed their disappointment in the skin in an Aug. 27 Reddit thread. One user commented: “Good example of a ‘filler’ skin.” It isn’t the first time we’ve seen that wording used by LoL fans, as many are begging Riot to stop producing “filler skins” like this one.

On top of this, multiple players complained that the new Nautilus skin looks too similar to previous ones. “The ‘Nautilus’ one just looks like a purple conqueror,” another user said. At first glance, the skin does look similar in design to Conqueror Nautilus, but it’s a different color.

Regarding Prestige skins in League of Legends, players have high expectations when it comes to spending their hard-earned Mythic Essence. “I know people wanted more Nautillus skins, but we still have standards, Riot,” another commenter replied.

Crystalis Indomitus Nautilus will be available in the Mythic Shop from Patch 14.18. If you want more of the currency, check out our guide to learn how to earn Mythic Essence in LoL.
