Arcane fans have been on the edge of their seats since the cliffhanger that ended season one three years ago. The anticipation for the show’s return has only intensified, and a recent Instagram story from Netflix Italy might have just given fans the exact date they’ve been craving.
A seemingly innocuous Instagram story promoting Arcane’s latest official teaser, posted by Netflix Italy on July 23, cites Saturday, Nov. 2, as the date for the release of the animated show’s second season. While neither Riot Games, Fortiche Productions, nor Arcane’s social media accounts have officially confirmed Nov. 2 as the release date, the story on Netflix Italy’s platform has led many to believe an official announcement may be imminent at the very least.
The Instagram story, now archived in the account’s “Hype” story highlight, simply states “Arcane arrives on November 2″ in Italian, and is followed by other show’s accurate release dates on the streaming platform. That date also coincides with the grand final of the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, which would make sense as the first three episodes of the show’s first season were released on Nov. 6, 2021, the same day of that year’s Worlds Finals.
However, Arcane fans are being extra careful as of late, as the recent attacks on Netflix led to the leak of several episodes of the second season and the community tried to steer away from any possible spoilers. While the leaked footage has undoubtedly caused frustration for the creators and most fans, it has also increased the already immense hype around the show’s second and final season.
With the release date potentially just around the corner, fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation from Netflix and Riot. Until then, the speculation and excitement surrounding Arcane season two will undoubtedly continue to grow.
