New Arcane season 2 teaser introduces unlikely—and unstable—partnership between former foes

Even though we still have a few months until the official release of the League of Legends-based hit Netflix series Arcane, Riot Games has given fans another sneak peek into the next season with a quick trailer featuring two iconic characters.

In the new trailer, League‘s infamous Jinx can be seen running away from an unknown assailant as she clutches a package to her chest. Unfortunately, she gets jumped by a group of men led by a character that was seen in the first season as a chembaron. He says that his group wants to keep her alive for now but made the mistake of mentioning her father figure, Silco.

From the reaction of the chembaron, it doesn’t seem like many people know that Jinx killed Silco, but before the group can lay down another savage beating, a bullet slices through the hat of Jinx’s attacker. The group turns to the shadows where the bullet was fired, and from the smoke emerges Sevika, Silco’s former right-hand woman.

She is armed with a pistol that looks similar to the Arcane Sheriff skin found in Riot’s tactical first-person shooter, VALORANT. The teaser trailer cuts off, but it is assumed that Sevika helps free Jinx and forms an uneasy alliance with the fugitive after her attack on Piltover’s council in the season finale of season one.

It isn’t known to what extent Sevika and Jinx’s partnership will extend or why Sevika has appeared to help Jinx, but it promises to be exciting for die-hard League fans and Netflix connoisseurs alike. This should also take some attention away from the unfortunate leaks that occurred on Aug. 8, where five episodes were leaked online in a lower resolution with time stamps and missing content.

Ultimately, fans should wait for Arcane‘s official season two release date this coming November.
