It’s time to get ready for some more OW2 changes.
Overwatch 2’s season 15 has already reached its midway point, and things like heroes, newly introduced Perks, and more will be changing alongside it, along with some awesome new skins.
LE SSERAFIM skins are just the beginning of what’s coming in the update, but that will likely be the top headline for lots of gamers everywhere, and who can blame them? The girlies are back with a vengeance and some awesome new street-inspired skins for multiple new heroes.
Read on below to see everything that’s new and different for OW2 as part of its midseason update in season 15, due to launch on March 18 at 2pm CT.
OW2 early patch notes: Season 15 midseason update

Hero balancing
It’s time for some hero tweaks, including nerfs to some overpowering heroes (ahem, Zarya) and buffs to those who could use a little bit of help. Stay tuned for more information when the balance changes are revealed by Blizzard.
Perk balancing
Blizzard has promised that this update will include balancing for Perks, which were first introduced just a month ago, and then will be “swapping out” some Perks that aren’t performing well when season 16 begins in April. Check back closer to patch time to know exactly what’s being changed and how.
New LE SSERAFIM skins

A new set of LE SSERAFIM collab skins hit the store, including new Legendary outfits for D.Va, Mercy, Juno, Illari, and Ashe, along with recolors of the existing skins. They’re almost as adorable as the real life girlies, but they can be yours in the OW2 Shop starting soon.
6v6 Competitive test

It’s time to go back to the origins of OW sweat. The six-vs-six Competitive test is due to launch around the midseason update, allowing players to try out how the newest heroes feel in a six-vs-six setting like the original game first launched with.
OW2 was built with five-vs-five in mind, so feeling how six-vs-six plays in a Competitive setting with the large amount of new heroes, rebalanced, will be important to see what happens with the mode moving forward.
Widowmaker Mythic weapon

A shiny new Mythic weapon for Widowmaker is set to come within the update, either at launch or some time before season 16. The weapon, seen above, has only been teased at OW2 Spotlight thus far.
New hero Freja playable trial

Freja will be playable for the first weekend after the patch, and she will be live for a short time from March 21 to 24 to help Blizzard balance her kit before she launches in season 16. Make sure to give her a try and offer feedback to help shape the game’s future.
This article will be updated with more information whenever it’s available.
