Persona 3 Reload – Harmony Giant weakness in Episode Aigis

Persona 3 Reload‘s Episode Aigis puts more shadows in the way of the S.E.E.S. squad. The crew must best the Harmony Giant to advance through the Abyss of Time and find the answers they seek, but it’s not a simple fight.

The Harmony Giant and Judgment Sword duo appear as the gatekeepers on the 14th floor of Caina, and you must break them to advance. Exploiting opponents’ weaknesses is the key to succeeding in Persona 3 Reload, but these two enemies will give you a run for your money.

Here’s our experience with the Harmony Giant and its weaknesses (or, more accurately, lack thereof).

Harmony Giant doesn’t have a weakness in Persona 3 Reload‘s Episode Aigis. If that wasn’t bad enough, this meaty enemy nullifies Strike and repels both Wind and Electric. How fun.

While the Giant doesn’t have any weaknesses, its partner Judgment Sword is weak to Wind, but it repels Slash, nullifies Pierce, and absorbs Shock. Thankfully, Fuuka tracks those weaknesses for you. The lack of weaknesses already makes this a tough fight, but add the giant health pool from Harmony Giant and you’re in for a long battle.

Harmony Giant and Judgment Sword are a duo, but they’re formidable enough on their own. The Giant brings an arsenal of Zio spells and buffs, while the Sword deals physical damage. And even though Judgment Sword is weak to Wind, it also has a particularly pesky Dodge Wind passive, so you can’t exploit its weakness as easily.

Akihiko is in a weird spot for this fight. Harmony Giant is basically Sanada-proof, nullifying Strike and absorbing Electric. The boxer, however, also blocks all Electric damage from the Harmony Giant and can use Strike on the Judgment Sword. His other abilities leave more room for utility through his healing and buffs, and he can deal damage through his Theurgy or by using Elec Break to soften up the targets.

Yukari is in particular danger here: The healer’s vulnerable to Shock damage, which Harmony Giant brings in droves. Dodge Wind can make it frustrating to hit the Sword without any buffs or debuffs. If you’ve brought her in, though, you can at least use her Theurgy to take down a significant chunk of Judgment Sword’s HP. Bonus points if you prepare accordingly by buffing Yukari’s accuracy and attack. Don’t be afraid to guard with her if the situation calls for it, too.

You can approach this fight in a few different ways, but we recommend taking down the Judgment Sword first. This left us little room for back-to-back attacks outside of criticals, however. By chance, we had Aigis, Yukari, Metis, and Koromaru on our squad, and we kept Yukari alive through a near-miracle.

This protracted battle ended with Theurgies used nearly on demand to take down a huge chunk of Harmony Giant’s health, but we eventually pushed through.
