An upgraded PlayStation 5 model is officially on the way. The suped-up console dubbed the PS5 Pro is set to release before the end of year, Sony announced today.
PS5 lead architect Mark Cerny hosted a nine-minute presentation revealing the system with improved graphical specs from the base console, including a larger GPU, advanced ray-tracing, and AI-drive upscaling to offer fidelity-mode graphical quality without sacrificing frames-per-second performance.
The increased FPS without sacrificing quality is available in a “broad” amount of games, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Cerny says PS5 Pro is “the most powerful console we’ve ever built.”
PS5 Pro is set to launch on Nov.7 and is priced at $699.
