Riot Games has been on fire when it comes to dropping new League of Legends skins through 2024, and according to the developers, they aren’t slowing down with the releases just yet.
In a new developer blog, the team behind League‘s cosmetics explained how they decide which champions get which skins, including decisions on what types of skins they are missing. For example, there are moments when the developers have a chance to flip a champion’s base theme to create something new and wacky, like how Azir would look like as a top attorney fighting for justice.
This Ace Attorney-esque skin for Azir has not been given an official name or release date, but it looks absolutely incredible, complete with a classic blue suit, a book of the law on his hip, and a fiery demeanor that could only come with one of the best lawyers in Runeterra. It has also excited players for more outlandish skins that’ll make foes and friends alike chuckle on the Summoner’s Rift.
Along with this skin, Riot is planning to drop another set of Legendary and Prestige tier skins throughout the rest of 2024. So far in 2024, Aurelion Sol, Seraphine, and Aatrox all received their first Legendary skins—but now Vi, Viktor, and Sylas will also be getting their first Legendary skins in the next few months.
Additionally, Zeri, Diana, and Caitlyn will be getting Prestige skins that can be purchased with event tokens, while Swain will be getting a Prestige skin that will require Mythic Essence.
Ultimately, there are only four more months in the year left, but Riot still has plenty of plans in the works for some new skins to enjoy. Hopefully, players are treated to some new, hilarious skins that can add a bit of variety from the usual mecha or magical-type skins we’ve gotten in the past.
