There are certain opportunities to make decisions in Star Wars Outlaws, such as siding with one group over another. When you encounter Bosnok, he offers to frame Crismon Dawn or the Pykes after you complete an operation at an Imperial Outpost.
You get this option during the False Flag mission in Star Wars Outlaws. When you reach the end, Bosnok’s a prisoner who controls the Imperial Governor’s assets. For getting him out, he’s willing to wipe the data and frame Crimson Dawn or the Pykes, based on your decision. Is it better to go with Crimson Dawn or the Pykes?
Is framing Crimson Dawn or the Pykes in Star Wars Outlaws better?
The choice is entirely up to you. The main reward for picking one of these two factions is the reputation increase in Star Wars Outlaws. If you choose to frame Crimson Dawn, your reputation with the Pykes goes up. If you frame the Pykes, your reputation with Crimson Dawn increases. You lose reputation with whatever faction you’re going to frame.
I decided to side with Crimson Dawn and frame the Pykes for my Outlaws playthrough. I was already siding with them, as I previously chose to share the story of the Pyke traitor with Eleera, the representative from Crimson Dawn. Because I was already increasing my reputation, continuing to side with them felt like the best option.
The big difference between siding with these two is the dialogue and cutscenes you see. You’ll speak with the Pykes if you side with them or talk with Crimson Dawn. They both tell you a Bounty Hunter is looking for you and to be on the lookout for them moving forward. This is a main mission in the story, so you can expect to encounter the Bounty Hunter here not too far in the future—if you continue to focus on story missions.
If you want to increase your reputation with a negative faction, make sure to visit their contacts in any of the cities in Star Wars Outlaws. You can complete contracts to gain more reputation and unlock faction’s rewards and vendors.
