The Silent Hill 2 remake releases Oct. 8, 2024, so I know what I’m doing this Halloween. Bloober Team hasn’t confirmed a release time yet, but we expect the Silent Hill 2 remake to have a midnight local release time, which would mean you get access when the clock strikes midnight in your region. Until Bloober Team or publisher Konami confirms a release time, our countdown below is set to midnight CT on Oct. 8.

What platforms is Silent Hill 2 remake coming to?
The Silent Hill 2 remake is coming to PS5 and PC (via Steam) at launch. While this isn’t great news for Xbox players, the good news is that this PlayStation console exclusivity only lasts a year, and the horror remake can make its way to other platforms in 2025. This isn’t ideal if you’re an Xbox player who wanted to jump in day one, however.
The news isn’t so good for those on PS4 (and likely Xbox One). It seems the Silent Hill 2 remake is only available on current-generation consoles, likely due to the tech it utilizes, so you need to upgrade your hardware (or play on PC) to play this highly-anticipated remake.
