Today’s Wordle answer (No. 1,217, October 18)

Are you still struggling with today’s Wordle? I don’t blame you. The answer is STINT. Stint is a verb that means to supply a very ungenerous or inadequate amount of (something). “He doesn’t stint on wining and dining.” The word can also be a noun that means a person’s fixed or allotted period of work.

Today’s Wordle difficulty rating (October 18)

The New York Times said today’s Worldle took players an average of 4.4 out of six guesses to get the correct answer, which doesn’t surprise me. While it’s not a difficult word on the scale of things, I struggled to get the answer. I’d give it a three out of five on the difficulty rating.
