Remnant 2’s final DLC, The Dark Horizon, is out now, sending players back to the dark depths of N’Erud. Like in previous DLCs, there’s new armor, the Nanoplated set, for you to find—and luckily for players, it can be unlocked early in your one-shot playthrough.
Once you’ve reached the Withered Necropolis, which is one of the earlier locations in the one-shot campaign, all you’ll need to do is head to the right area of the map and fight a couple of foes along the way to claim the Nanoplated armor set.
Here’s where to find Remnant 2′s newest armor set in The Dark Horizon DLC.
Remnant 2’s Nanoplated armor set location
When you load into the Withered Necropolis, head to the left of where the Gardener stands. You can either choose to hug the edge of the map and fight a giant insectoid creature or take a metal ramp past the Gardener. I chose the latter, as you can see in the above video, to avoid having to engage in an unnecessary fight with what’s a fairly difficult enemy. Whichever path you choose, though, you’ll eventually come to a cliff’s edge with a few ghost-like foes nearby.
Take the glider found at this cliffside, then make a right-hand turn. You’ll see a long bridge, and above the right-hand side of the bridge will be an entrance with a glowing orange light. Land here, then enter this small cavernous room.
You’ll need to clear this room of a few enemies, but once you’ve done so, enter the smaller chamber to the left. On the wall to the right will be the Nanoplated armor set, and it will be glowing purple. After you pick it up, you can then equip it by venturing into your inventory and selecting each of the following items from the set:
- Nanoplated Transmitter
- Nanoplated Vestments
- Nanoplated Hands
- Nanoplated Waist
The Nanoplated armor is lighter than most other sets in the game, and it boasts resistances to multiple status effects, like Bleeding and Blight. It’s also just a very cool-looking armor set, and it’s a perfect choice to wear around the devoid, alien world of N’Erud.
Next to the armor set, you’ll find a small data log on the floor. If you interact with it, you’ll hear an audio file between two old friends—inhabitants of whatever N’Erud once was. Triggering this audio sequence won’t do anything, but it’s an interesting tidbit of lore for those of you who enjoy story-related content.
Before you leave the Withered Necropolis, be sure to head back to the Gardener’s location if you haven’t yet unlocked the Warden class. You can find the Warden archetype by locating a hidden area to the right of where the Gardener stands. It’s in this area where you’ll find the Weather Mechanism, which you can then take back to Wallace at Ward 13 to unlock the new class.
