Best Gwenpool decks in Marvel Snap

In Marvel Snap, more and more characters are being turned into playable cards. One of those is Gwenpool, whose origin you probably know thanks to her name.

Gwenpool is designed as an amalgam of two Marvel characters: Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider and Deadpool. She was originally a person from the real world who was transported to the Marvel universe. But she gained powers, including the ability to break the fourth wall. In Marvel Snap, she can be a tool to create high-Power cards.

Here are the best Gwenpool decks in Marvel Snap.

Gwenpool ability in Marvel Snap, explained

Gwenpool is a four-Cost, six-Power card with the ability that reads “On Reveal: Pick a random card in your hand 3 times. Give +2 Power each time.” This ability is pretty straightforward, but can give you a big advantage outpowering your opponent in locations, especially if you play cards that Gwenpool can boost. If you manage to only have one card in your hand, then you can give it an instant six Power.

Gwenpool was originally the season pass card for the Deadpool and Wolverine season. But you can get her now as a series five card, and you need to spend 6,000 tokens to get her from the normal rotation of the Marvel Snap token shop.

Silver Surfer Gwenpool

This deck features Gwenpool as a tool to boost the Power of your cards, especially Sebastian Shaw since he can stack Power every time he permanently gains Power thanks to card and location effects.

The Silver Surfer engine to boost three-Cost cards is the main offensive strategy of this deck. Aside from Sebastian Shaw, other three-Cost cards have toolbox effects, meaning they adapt to various strategies your opponent might use. These are:

  • Cassandra Nova – for stealing Power from your opponent’s cards
  • Brood – for swarming
  • Killmonger – for destroying all one-Cost cards in the game (synergizes with Nova to boost the Power of your cards)
  • Hope Summers – for potentially gaining energy
  • Makkari and Nocturne – for movement and control utility

Cap off the deck with Forge as an added Power booster, and Absorbing Man, which can recycle an On Reveal ability from one of your cards.

Is Gwenpool worth pulling in Marvel Snap?

An easy yes. Gwenpool’s utility to give more Power to your hand cards is very useful. The added Power can be game-changing at times, especially if you and your opponent both use offensive strategies to outplay one another. Also, Gwenpool’s stats are pretty decent, making her a viable choice when it comes to having a mid-Cost card that can contribute well to building your Power in a location.
