There are many different monsters and creepy crawlies to deal with in Lethal Company, but none are as polarizing as the new Maneater creature in Version 60.
The Maneater is a new entity that was added in the latest update for Lethal Company, and brings a new mechanic that company workers have never seen before. Unlike other creatures that immediately attack you on sight, this little creature can be coddled for the safety of the team. There is, however, a fine line between keeping it satisfied and gaining a terrifying enemy.
Here is everything we know about the Maneater in Lethal Company.
How to find the Maneater in Lethal Company
To find the Maneater in Lethal Company, travel to the 56-Vow moon, as it has the highest spawn rate there. It will, however, spawn just as often on 20-Adamance and 220-Assurance since these two have the second and third-highest spawn chance percentage for the entity.
The Maneater can be found randomly as you explore the facility because it wanders around in a child-like state until it comes across a player. Afterward, it will slowly approach the player without attacking and can even be picked up and held like a piece of scrap.
What does the Maneater do in Lethal Company?
Unlike other entities, the Maneater can be picked up by a player like a baby—but soon after, it will start to cry. The player that holds the creature will need to rock it without doing it too often or too quickly so that it doesn’t cry for too long. If the Maneater cries for around eight to 16 seconds straight, it will become enraged and turn into its deadly adult form.
There are also other ways to enrage the Maneater, including bringing it outside of the facility or whacking it with a shovel twice—although I don’t understand why you’d do that last option. While the Maneater cries, it will also try to jump out of the player’s arms, forcing you to chase after it.
Once it transforms into its adult form, the only weapon that is strong enough to kill the Maneater is the shotgun. It is also extremely fast, a lot larger, and instantly kills whichever player it touches. As a result, you will need to keep someone on baby duty while the rest of the team collects the scrap around the map. You also need to drop the Maneater before you leave the facility, or it will start to cry as soon as you go outside.
