What is the Hideout Cultist Circle in Escape from Tarkov?

Between extractions in Escape from Tarkov, you’ll relax within your Hideout, an abandoned bomb shelter refurbished for your needs. The Hideout functions as a player base where you can craft supplies, store gear, and upgrade your character before embarking on the next objective.

With the latest update, the developers added a Cultist Circle to the Hideout, a zone where you can sacrifice your hard-earned gear in exchange for random rewards. Here is everything you need to know about the Cultist Circle in Escape from Tarkov.

Before you can start sacrificing loot to an evil cult, you’ll have to build the circle within your Hideout. Here are all the materials necessary for constructing the Cultist Circle:

  • One PAID AntiRoach Spray
  • Five Light Bulbs
  • Three Cans of White Salt
  • One SurvL Survivor Lighter
  • One Measuring Tape
  • One Wi-Fi Camera

Thankfully, all the items besides Wi-Fi Cameras can be found on Dead Scavs or in containers like Sports Bags and Buried Caches. Wi-Fi Cameras typically spawn on shelves in key areas, like in the blue warehouse near the Sawmill or on tables within gas stations.

On top of collecting materials, you’ll also need to unlock Security Level Two by building and upgrading the Security Room in your Hideout. This will cost you 65,000 Rubles in total, so prepare to save up your money.

Once you have all the materials, the Cultist Circle will take six hours to build.

Once the circle is ready, you can click on the room and hit the “Sacrifice” button. This will take you to the gear page, where you can deposit up to five items in exchange for rewards. The value of every sacrificed item is added together, determining the items you receive from the cultists. Remember that there is always an element of RNG involved with the Cultist Circle rewards, so you will also have to get lucky.

Before sacrificing anything valuable to the cult, you may want to deposit a Sacred Amulet into the Cultist Circle menu, as this will boost your chances of receiving high-tier gear. You can purchase a Sacred Amulet from the Lightkeeper for three intelligence and 1,000 rubles, but you can only have one amulet in your inventory.

Once you deposit the items, it takes 12 hours for the ritual to complete. The ritual timer will not count down if you go AFK within your Hideout, so head to an extraction or log out.
