Where to find Captain Jones in Fortnite Chapter 5, season 4

Knowing where to find key characters is essential if you want to progress through your story quests in Fortnite. There are many different NPCs you can meet around the map, but one of the most important is Captain Jones.

Captain Jones, also known as Jonesy, is one of the most essential players in Fortnite’s ongoing storyline. He’s a character you need to talk with regularly to progress, so here’s where to find Captain Jones in Fortnite.

Captain Jones can be found standing outside of Ship It! Station in Fortnite. This is a Landmark rather than a main POI, which means it’s not marked by name on the map and can be tricky to find if you aren’t familiar with it.

The Ship It! Station is located just south of Restored Reels, east of The Raft, and north of the Nitrodrome. It’s a medium-sized black and white warehouse sitting right by the street.

Like most NPCs, Captain Jones can wander around this area a bit, but I’ve always found him somewhere around the front parking lot area. If you’re having trouble finding him, look at your mini-map in the top right corner for the dialogue box icon and make your way toward it. His location is always marked by this icon as long as you’re at Ship It! Station.

Ship It! Station generally isn’t a super popular area, so it’s a good idea to just land here right away whenever you have a task that asks you to converse with Captain Jones. There are lots of chests to loot inside the building and there usually isn’t much competition for them.

Before you set off to tackle other tasks after talking with Captain Jones, be sure to purchase Captain America’s Shield from him for 300 gold bars if you want to add this powerful weapon to your collection. He also has a Monarch Pistol for 300 gold bars and Patch Up services for 100 gold bars. Between these items and the loot you find inside the warehouse, you’re set up with some pretty solid gear sure to prepare you for any combat situation you run into.

After you finish talking with Captain Jones, there are plenty of other tasks worth completing around the island. Next, you might consider working on hiring characters or recruiting defeated henchmen, completing Gwenpool’s mission, and eliminating an opponent with Doctor Doom’s Monarch Pistol.
