How to get Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld

Ancient Civilization Parts are a vital crafting component in Palworld. This resource can be used to create some of the most essential items in the games, which is why you’ll want to know how to get more of these items—and lots of them.

From Egg Incubators to Feed Bags, there are a variety of items that require Ancient Civilization Parts as a key crafting ingredient. There are three main ways to get Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld, and we’ll go over each one in more detail:

  • Defeat Alpha Pals
  • Complete Cave Raids
  • Send your Pals on successful Expeditions

Defeat Alpha Pals

If you’ve been playing Palworld for some time, you’ll know all about the Alpha Pal mechanic. These creatures are powerful versions compared to their standard counterparts and can be found all around the map. Alpha Pals are distinguished by circular icons on the map, and when you approach them, a large red health bar will appear at the top of your screen, similar to Bounties.

When you defeat Alpha Pals, not only will you receive an Ancient Technology Point for the first time you kill the creature, you also have a chance at looting Ancient Civilization Parts. Luckily, Alpha Pals will respawn—though it takes some time for them to do so—meaning you can keep coming back to the same location for more opportunities to find the item you’re looking for.

Complete Cave Raids

Cave Raids are the best way to get Ancient Civilization Parts, but unlike Alpha Pals and Bounty targets, they aren’t as easy to see on your map. You can spot entrances to caves when you’re exploring the world by looking for large, dark cave openings on the sides of cliffs and rocks. One such cave is across from the small pond at the Small Settlement location southwest of the Raven Syndicate Tower.

When entering a Cave Raid, you’ll have to work your way through a small map that consists of several small rooms, each of which often has wild Pals and enemies to fight. At the end of the Cave Raid, you’ll encounter a stronger Pal, which you can either defeat or catch. You can then loot several chests before exiting the area—both of which can provide Ancient Civilization Parts.

Send your Pals on successful Expeditions

Expeditions are one of the newest features introduced in Palworld with the Feybreak update. Essentially, this feature allows you to go on Cave Raids without actually going on Cave Raids; your Pals do it for you instead.

To send a Pal on an Expedition, you need to build a Pal Expedition Station, which you can unlock at level 15 in the Technology Tree. After you’ve placed it in your base, you’ll have seven Expeditions to choose from, each offering their own rewards. Every Expedition has a recommended Firepower level, and your odds of receiving loot will depend on the number and strength of the Pals you choose to send.

All seven Expeditions offer Ancient Civilization Parts as a reward, though it might take several runs for you to be guaranteed it as a drop. For more information, check out our extensive guide on Palworld’s Expeditions.

What are Ancient Civilization Parts used for?

Most items on the Ancient Technology tree (found on right-hand side of the Technology screen) require Ancient Civilization Parts, especially many of the high-level ones.
