As you’re cleaning up the afterlife in Crypt Custodian, you’ll find a few souls that need saving. In total, 20 Cat Spirits find themselves trapped in vases around the underworld, and there’s no better hero to save them than Pluto.
You can find these 20 Spirit Cats in glowing, moss-covered vases, as shown in the image below. Some vases are tucked away in corners of the map, behind locked gates, or on platforms you may not be able to reach, depending on which skills you’ve unlocked in your playthrough. These ghostly kitties are worth saving, though; for every cat you rescue, you earn nice rewards from their parent in the Weeping Wastes.
Although there’s a way to spend your hard-earned Garbage at The Sinner’s Inn in exchange for a map marker that shows you locations of missed items (or Cat Spirits, in this case), why waste the currency? We’ve done all the hard work of herding up the cats and marked their locations on the map below.
Here’s where you can find all 20 Cat Spirits in Crypt Custodian.

Rewards for saving all 20 Cat Spirits
As you rescue more cats from vases, be sure to visit the giant Cat Spirit in the temple in the Weeping Wastes every now and again.
The giant Cat Spirit rewards you with Garbage, Upgrade Points, Upgrades, and sometimes even a powerful Special Attack for every cat you rescue. The following are all the Upgrades and the Special Attack you get as rewards.
- Hoarder’s Reward (Upgrade): Increases damage relative to how much Garbage you have.
- Bigger Broomerang (Upgrade): Increases the size of your broom-erang attack.
- Steady Flurry (Upgrade): Attacking six or more times in a row creates a flurry of attacks.
- Mystery Shot (Special Attack): Randomly combines two of your Special Attacks.
