FaZe Banks has posted in defense of Sketch amid swirling rumors in light of a recent YouTube video claiming that the popular sports gaming content creator previously posted on OnlyFans.
On July 7, a YouTuber named Pocketbook posted a 17-minute video titled “The Real Sketch: The Untold Story of Jamie Mar.” In the video, the uploader claimed that Sketch used to post OnlyFans content under a different name.
The video soon went viral and gamers across social media chimed in. As the content that allegedly features Sketch features gay pornography, the responses were littered with homophobia, and many streamers and YouTubers posted themselves reacting live to the video.
Banks posted on Twitter/X today, calling out “fkn weirdos” who responded to the video on social media, and then said Sketch was with him and other FaZe members late last night after the video was uploaded and began to circulate.
“Not everything needs to be broadcast & farmed, but since y’all wana jump to crazy assumptions Sketch told me to post these receipts,” Banks posted on July 8. “All the FaZe boys were with him last night. Sketch was my homie yesterday, he’s my homie today, he’ll be my homie tomorrow. You guys are fkn weirdos.”
In the post, Banks shared a screenshot of texts between him and Sketch. As per the conversation, Sketch apologized multiple times and said he was at the airport before Banks told him to return to the house where he and the rest of FaZe were waiting.
Sketch and Banks have been friends for at least a few months as Banks posted a Twitter/X video of the two hanging out together with several other FaZe members on May 5.
At time of writing, Sketch just addressed the contents of the YouTube video in a nine-minute broadcast on Twitch around 3:50pm CT.
